Both sit close to the public beach access at the center of the island, which is where most visitors start their day.

How to play it

Start at the state park. The 1,800-acre purchase in 1973 became the backbone of the island's eastern end, and the drive into the park is the best nine holes you will never score. If you time your golf trip for that weekend, you will see more carts parked than moving.
